Either way, now I'll wait till it gets here to order up all the new suspension parts. If it is one of the non pad ones, can it be fixed?

I imagine it would just take sewing another layer of material below the existing bottom layer. Don't really know, both of mine have the pad sleeve and I've not really looked at them while thinking about what it would take to add a layer if it wasn't there.

But, based on the dates provided, I doubt you'll have to worry about it. If you do just post here and I'm sure one of the DIY-Build-Crazy folks will be happy to help you out with suggestions/ideas.

Well, hopefully I'll get one of the good ones. I'll know in the next day or two. I just don't want to go throw money out there when I'm not sure just yet what I'm getting. If I had seen this thread before I bought it I would have made sure to ask. Thanks again, folks.

If I remember correctly several people had difficulty finding the pad sleeve and thought they got one of the no pad styles. So look carefully at all the seams. I can't remember the details.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

yea, I seem to remember he changed the opening from the long side of the hammock to a smaller, zippered opening on one end.
no one seemed too happy about it...

Does anyone have any idea about when these changes were made? I'm probably worked up over nothing, but...

The original post on this thread is from June 2008.

I'd guess that it is close to then. I ordered mine in early May 2008 and it had a regular, double bottom

The one I bought was originally bought in February 08. I'm sure it's gonna be fine. Thanks for tolerating my paranoia
