Welcome to the addiction!
I spend quite a bit of time in the adks. I hang with a couple of other forum members on an irregular basis. Trying to catch a few others on the trail in the future when the schedules allow.
Look for my name in the trail registers and shelter logs.

Welcome to the forum, from not so much upstate as you but still upstate NY.
You'll spend more time outside now that you are sleeping in a hammock.

Welcome from just north of Albany! I like whoopies for the low weight/reduced bulk and ease of adjustment. OTOH it's kind of easy to leave your tree straps behind... BTDT.
Pads work but underquilts work better and are for most of us more comfortable, something to think about in the future...
Welcome to the disease that is hammocks.
Although he won't admit it publicly, I'm one of the others that Duct Tape has been known to hang with on occasion.

Welcome from Indiana.
I got in a fight one time with a really big guy, and he said, "I'm going to mop the floor with your face." I said, "You'll be sorry." He said, "Oh, yeah? Why?" I said, "Well, you won't be able to get into the corners very well."
Underquilts.com
I admit publicly and proclaim from the highest of hammock sites that I occasionally get to hang with Ordin.
