    Cuben Fiber Tarp

I just purchased the cuben fiber tarp with doors and am wondering if self tightening lines are needed?
If not, what type of tieouts should be used.
How light can the shock cord pull out be?

I have used self-tightning on mine and non-tightning as well. I tend to like self-tightning because the trees sag a bit from the "me in the hammock" weight and the tarp can droop a bit....depending on the trees.
I like Speer No-Tangleline line but there are many a line to use.
Shockcord can be 1/8 or even smaller. Don't use the pull-outs a lot as the tarp pitches so tightly.

    Thanks Shug

I made my own version of self tightening lines for the BMJ but haven't tried them yet, thought I might use them on the Cuben.

    Shug,
Do you use use a Continuous ridgeline line with your cuben tarp, or separate lines on each end?
