* those heading up early, can you spread out and grab a few sites in proximity?
that place used to be free - oh well,,, great trail access, views of the sisters and nice little chain of lakes.
---i am in process of updating the t shirts - i've got payment from one person, and am only able to order what i can fund. so, like the cottages, money up front - goods at the hang basically.
i like the online system they have for obsidian now --- unfortunate its become a pay site, but with it so close--- maybe it will keep the 16' x 20' walmart tarps, cast iron frying pans and trash from the pristine wilderness.
here's a few shots from our last trip to scott lake:

Bad news: All three campgrounds are full and reserved for the time we need them (August 24, 25 and 26).
Do I have the facts straight.
-You went to a lot of effort to ensure we have a place for our group hang.
-The location has changed. I will have to find it on a map, no problem with that.
-No reservations for the new location, first come first served. Will there be room for everyone, what about parking? Number of campers per site?
-If my daughter, two dogs and myself, come down on Friday, do you think we can find a spot within the group to hang? The daughter will need to take some days off and we are going to rent a vehicle since I do not want to make the trip in her 1976 VW Bus. Which means I want to be pretty sure we will have a spot to hang our hammocks.
-Where how do I pay for the two shirts I ordered?
Thank you for all the effort you have extended making the hang happen.

For those who go backpacking weight there are a few lakes in walking distance of Scott lake
we may also want to consider an alternate location closer to the valley floor in casee of fire. I would suggest mckenzie pass deer creek road long the mckenzie river. Ed your thoughts?
Alternate location should be at Trail Bridge Reservoir:

hadn't thought about the fire deal - i'm at a bit of a loss besides trail bridge - or somewhere along the mckenzie.
