The last line made me laugh.

You could also put up a want to buy ad for a traveler and see what happens. Then maybe the only loss you'd incur would be shipping ($20). Resell it at the same price if you don't care for it.

For a starter you might check with Paul...

Thanks for that last link. Is he located in Mountain Home? I couldn't find it on his site. A coworker suggested I look to him before I got my Tenkara rod, but I apparently wasn't google savvy enough to find him... see a trend here?

Mountain Home tickles my dim memory. He is planning a Fall group hang (Saw Tooth Mtn) as well...very much recommend going to one of these to get eyes on (and feet up) hammock set ups. You might also look at Washington and Oregon planned group hang to see if any are close enough to attend.

I'll have to look into that. Then again, I think there's a very good chance I will feel the need to get a hammock before August, so it might just be a good chance to go hang.

I switched from my eno to a traveler in December. I will never go back, I love it. Going to be buying my BB soon.

I just switched to one from a DIY hammock. I bought it used from a member here.

After finally getting the chance to try it out on a trip, I can say that the Traveler is a very comfortable hammock.

I have had just about every vendor-made hammock there is. And the Warbonnet Traveler won out. I have two 1.7 singles and doubt I will ever have anything else.
The cheapest and the best. I do whoopies and Dynaglide ridgeline on them.

Straps with dutch clips are what i use ...
