Wow! Great video! We had hail like that here in the Nashville area too, but I wasn't out in it. Glad you made it out safely...

So. I would guess that Brian would want that video up on his site. It seems that it may demonstrate why Brian's "thesis work will look to better understand how durable waterproof coatings are not only to the point of leakage and saturation but beyond."
I think that situation qualifies as "beyond", no?

The day I survived the tornado hailstorm in a hammock...sounds like a great campfire story that will be repeated for decades! Prayers are with those who are piecing their lives back together after this disaster.

Loved the report! nice to see that with a small amount of good gear, one can withstand/survive almost anything! Glad you're okay, and sad for those that perished, or were affected by the tornado(es).

    Thanks!

    Knobstone Location

Just wondering where you were camping on the Knobstone Trail. (mile marker?). I have backpacked there before and will be in about a month...love the Knobstone Trail. I have never seen the creeks that high...glad you were safe...all that was between you and the storm was a thin piece of material....helps keep life in perspective...Blessings on you . Turk3
