So how well does the JRB python fit the BB?

There are 2 skins. I cut the narrow ends to get the right length and end knot fit. Just right now.

Dave, I don't think JRB makes the pythons any more. I think they are copyrighted or patented or something by Hennessy. I prefer the bishop bag too. I leave a silver biner on one end hanging out (head end) and then whatever color I like for the other end.

I like the SS's on my Superfies; however, they don't pack up nearly as small.

You could actually use a bishop bag on your tarp too.

Not really sure why anyone would want to pack a hammock in together with a potentially wet, or dew ridden tarp?

Correct, the python skins are no longer made by JRB.

I don't. I pack my tarp in a set of netskins and then I pack my hammock in another set of silnylon skins.

I agree, I want mine seperate. I was just thinking that the SS's would make set up and take down faster and easier.

MountainGoat is making me a set of mesh skins for my superfly. She is also putting little pockets on each end for my lines.

    I highly recommend her!

I tried the SS with my BB and didn't like them either. The Bishop with the Head end rigging outside one end makes a very quick hang. It seems to pack better as well. I keep my trap separate in it's own stuff sack. It packs on the top of my kit and goes up first. Seems like rain in Ohio is usually 50/50 on camping weekends. It was extremely satisfying watching the 100 or so ground dwellers get pounded by torrential rain last spring at the Scouts camp out. We were set up in 10 min, hanging high and dry out and of the mud. The envy of most all the dads who came by to check out the "Tree Dwellers"
