I was thinking the other side of the lake, Manistee up near Cadillac, could mean getting around Chi town for you. About 5-6 hours from Chicago. Would that be possible? You could go through the UP for a real ride of beauty.

Canoebie, Fishinfinn and all. Let's plan it and do it. Sounds great. Mule
Predictions are risky, especially when it comes to the future.

    Neo,

Would enjoy having you man!! I do have to say that I love a good canoe. I have done both, I just love the history, the shape, the joy of the canoe. Not to mention I can put a thousand pounds in it and go!!

Neo, you're good - we need someone to tease about their choice of girlfriends. I'd love to paddle with you, too. Did you replace your lost gear? No ultralight trip here, though. A cooler? I'd like to see that on the AT!
