This worked out pretty well. My older machine did not have any mounting holes, but I found that a couple of strips of masking tape to hold it in place worked great! My new machine has the proper mounting holes.

I have found that the most difficult thing about using this attachment is how light and thin most of the fabric that we use in our DIY gear is. It is difficult to keep the "roll" in the correct position in the attachment, it is really meant for heavier fabric. That being said, you can get some impressive looking hems with this.

I am still debaiting whether or not it is easier to just roll everything by hand as you go. My new machine has a blind hem presser foot, and I find I use that foot for almost all my hemming now.

Be aware the blind hem is designed for hems of light weight use. It is a great stitch for hiding the hem line in garments. However it is not as strong as a straight stitch hem.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

I realize that. I am not making a blind hem stitch, just using the blind hem foot. The guide in the middle makes it very simple to get great looking hems with the stitching very close to the edge. An example of where I used it to get seams very close to the edge of the material (fold) was in my hiking kilt.
