Does any one know what a grapevine is?

As in two half hitches backed up with a grapevine. Supposed to be a good knot to tie Spectra through and eyelet. Checked Grogs site and 'no joy'.

A quick Googling of the term reveals that 'grapevine' is another name for the double fisherman's knot.

I use the ascending or decending knot, or whatever it is called. 3 loops around the ring followed by a bowline. It is nice because it leaves slack in the knot. Helpful with making the decending rings suspension work.

OK, so I am getting lazy. Went to the net and found it is a double fisherman's knot. Ignore me, but someone may find this useful so I will leave the post.

Apparently the key with Spectra is two or in your case, three loops so as to not deform the line. I will try both.

It's a pretty handy knot for making a secure loop. I used it on my Single Line Suspension. Once it sets it's almost impossible to get loose.
