1.1 and 1.7 refer to the weight (strength) of the fabric used. A DL has more strength at the same fabric type than its SL equivalent. Per Brandon, the fabric is far more likely to stretch as you near its weight rating than it is to actually fail, so you make your choice based on whether you want a little bit of sag to develop (most don't) or you want the lay to be as flat as possible. The DL also has an advantage if you want to use a pad because you can put the pad in between the layers so it won't shift on you during the night. The suspension is completely independant of fabric choice. The adjustable webbing is about as simple as it gets, but whoopies are almost as simple and a little lighter. You can't go wrong with either.

Let's not overlook the fact that 1.1 fabric is generally softer feeling than 1.7. I've got a double 1.0 and when I tried my friends dbl 1.7 I was amazed at how stiff and "unsoft" the hammock was in comparison to mine. So, there's that to complicate matters for you too.

First off, great choice it is an awesome hammock. The double layer is very helpful to slide a ccf mat in. This way, you do not have to wrestle with it all night. Also, I have heard that mosquitoes can bite thru the single layer. The webbing is adequate and very easy to adjust.

There is a thread somewhere here where Brandon specifically asked about Skeeter bites through WB single and double hammocks. Got no reported bites at all as I recall. 150 (ahhh, about 6th grade for me )? I'd look at the weight of a 1.1 single or even a 1.7 and then get a down UQ...pads are of the devil IMO.
