No kidding, weight matters. I doubled and redoubled twice the webbing that Warbonnet supplies. 32 layers is 11/8" thick. So it is about 0.035" thick, a fourth of this stuff, and a fourth the strength. 1/4 the weight, it will provide a larger margin of safety, assuming it doesn't unravel when nicked.
I've been disappointed that seat-belt webbing is sensitive to an edge cut, unraveling.
