I am looking into buying a Gossamer Gear Pad, 1/4 and wide, and I was wondering about how cold you guys have been able to use this in the hammock without a under quilt or additional pads.
Thanks

I have the same stuff but in 1/8 doubled over (for my legs). I had mine into the lower 40's with a 20° burrow. Any colder and I would have supplemented with my pack or pack back pad
* reason I use the 1/8th is its more coverage. 20x79. In the event I would ever need to go to ground, the Im covered. Or just fold it in two. Ive left the ol tree straps hangin before. But thats just me. Got mine from MLD

I've used 1/4" pad, but not the Gossamer Gear one. I was a little chilly in the mid 40's with a breeze. I'm a cold sleeper, so someone else may get 5 degrees more out of it.
My buddy got his down to the mid 20's but then it started to fail on him. I'd say it should be good down to the 40's for a normal sleeper.
