Your right. You have to make a loop on the pad anyways to attach them to begin with. If you don't attach them perm. then they are freed up for use at other times.
Look in the audio visual department, near the computer stuff. I have also seen them in the hardware section near the other zip ties. If you can't find them at wally world, any computer store (best buy, compusa, etc..) carries them as well.

I've seen a 50-pack of these for about $5 at Office Max and Home Depot. Be aware that the Velcro is a bit lighter weight than the 5-packs, though.

I picked up a 20 pack at harbor freight of all places today. Walked away with velcro cable ties and cartridges for my grease gun. How's that for a combination.

So Splinter, have you made your hammock?
My knife is so sharp it cut the sixth finger off my right hand! On the plus side, Inigo Montoya no longer hunts me.

Yes, however I couldn't wait for the ebay fabric, so I went to Hobby Lobby and bought some on sale. The avatar that I use is the hammock. It works (and sleeps) very nicely.

On a side note...I'm still waiting on the fabric from ebay
