Got to try my new HG UQ out last night

Just got my first UQ from HG a 20* Incubator Thurs and took it out last night for a test run. Fit the black bird good but did have to get out to tighten it up one time as it was getting a little cool. Temps got down to about 28* last night
woke up with a little ice on my sleeping bag in the foot area but feet were plenty warm had a older 20* north face bag i used as a OQ. Not sure i had it perfect as i was cool on my back not cold. When i tightened it up seemed to be warmer. Was fun to get out hope to make a good number of trips into the woods this year. buddy went with me he is still in his tent but wants to get a hammock. My pack weighed about 45lb have not got the light weight thing down yet but that much weight was not a problem for me.

Last night was a perfect night to test Jason. I tighten my Incubator up pretty good to get it warm but you can always slip part of that sunshade in between the double layers when you're pushing it's temp. limitations. I'm a cold sleeper and with my 20* UQ anything under 30* is a little chilly on my back unless I add my pod or pad.
Where did you guy's go, somewhere on Holston?

Yes we were on Holston. Got in a little brook trout fishing before it got dark had trout cooked on the camp fire for supper. Was a good time for sure wish I was still up there tonight but had to get some work done this afternoon.

I did use it just to make some hot cider I had worked out good. He is wanting a hammock think he may get one soon. He has got so much other gear it is hard for hi. To switch over may take a couple trips.

Thanks for posting the pics. A couple more trips & you should have the UQ dialed in.

Looks like a purdy good fit! I had a little trouble getting my jarbridge dialed in on my bb a couple of weekends ago. I think it's just gonna work better if I don't use the tie outs. Man I can hardly wait for some fresh trout!

I did use the tie outs bit really had to snug things up to get it to warm up on my back. Think air was just getting in around the edges.
