I'll second that! Very eno-esque. Definitely worth 25 bucks

    not bad with some mods

picked one of these up shortly after my eno dn as a cheap second. was planning on having it as an extra to use when my son and i go camping. i changed out the stock suspension to diy amsteel continuous loops and some lightweight biners and added a diy bugnet. i found there to be quite a ridge down the middle when i first got it but adding a srl and forcing a very "saggy" hang it is actually quite comfortable now. we have it hanging on the porch from a diy stand so it is available full time. the fabric is not as conforming as my dn or sn (which i was fortunate enough to have someone get for me for my birthday!) but it is still a nice afternoon hanger or a good one for the little ones.

I checked this out and the material is crappy enough to say a newb shouldn't even use this to get a feel for hammocking. You get what you pay for here

Indeed. Cheap prices come with many consequences.

Not to mention, it never fails that whatever i buy from the place ends up breaking after the second or third use and i end up having to spend even more money on the item i should have just invested on in the first place.

I'll second what Saniun just stated... you get what you pay for.

My son has a clark and I have two claytors, plus a homemade from walmart fabric....but...I am going car camping this weekend with a friend and want to try out some other hammocks, So I bought an eno double on sale for $60 at Gander (I already have an eno bug net use with the homemade hammock) and I bought one of the walmart hammocks.

I hung them both in the backyard to get a first look. I used the stock suspensions with tree straps for the first look. (keep in mind that I'm 6'3", 250 lbs with broad shoulders, so your experience might be different.)

The walmart hammock seem to hang the same as the eno. I was able to adjust the middle ridge out of both. The material of the walmart hammock seems like it would be uncomfortable against the skin or in warm weather. The feel was like cheap 100 thread sheets, but thicker, like the thickness of a dwr nylon backpacking poncho.

The eno double is a lot wider than my claytor and a little wider than the walmart hammock. The eno double is perhaps a bit too wide because it seems the additional strip of material on both sides of the eno will have to be clipped back to keep from flapping in my face.

For $25 the walmart hammock is usable. I'm not certain that I'll keep it. I'll probably keep the eno as a better substitute than my homemade hammock.

I'm wondering if the walmart hammock could be used as an "under hammock" with the eno to hold a pad for additional warmth in spring or fall. I don't think I would backpack both, but for car camping it might work.
