    Had a nightmare last night!

I suppose this is a sign that my thru-hike is approaching quickly, and it's about all I'm thinking about. Last night I couldn't go to sleep and was thinking about hanging out there on the AT. I suppose I finally fell asleep, but I had a doozy of a dream.

I dreamt I was under my tarp in my hammock, but one side of my tarp was straight out (parallel w/the ground), and it started to rain really hard. Some person was under the tarp w/me and I was telling him to hurry up and run over to this huge dead tree branch, by the river, because both my JRB Nest and my overquilt (which was actully the white down comfortor on my bed at home) were draped across this dead tree and they were getting soaked. All I could do was sit there and watch it happen and rain was blowing under my tarp sideways while my down stuff was getting drenched!

A nightmare indeed. I vaguely remember thinking about blowing rain coming in from the ends of my tarp last night, so that's probably what started this. Anyone else have any nightmares related to hammocking?

I had a similar dream, probably also because my thru is coming up and its all I think about.

I was fording this tiny little creek carrying my Nest and my sleeping bag above my head (they were loose not in their stuff sacks) but they kept slipping out of my hands...the water kept rising, all my down stuff kept slipping... I woke up with a start having that 'falling' feeling. I'm sure a psychologist would have a field day digging around in my brain right now.

I just wish April 1st would hurry up and get here!

    What no bear?

I haven't had one yet, but I probibly will now that I will be thinking about it.

I was thinking about putting some of my wierd dreams in my trailjournal (when I start one). I figured it would be a funny change from the normal journals.
Is that too much to ask? Girls with frikkin' lasers on their heads?

Oh god...that's hilarious! What's up with us all obsessing over our down getting wet?

    Dreams

Do you have more dreams when sleeping in a hammock than in a bed or in a tent? I sure do.

Once it was UFOs buzzing around the hammock.

Last weekend it was some dudes cutting the trees down with a battery powered electric knife??? I can thank Fanatic Fringer for the planting this thought in my head by telling me about the drunks messing with the hammocks NY Eve at Springer.
