I just finished buying one.. $28 with shipping can't beat that. we will see how it is when it gets here.. funny they were sold out a day or so ago...

At that price it seems they get a batch and a lot of folk are watching. It would be my first choice to point you to and the Kelty or check Campmor 10x10 as second. None are the ultimate but they are good basic relatively heavy coated nylon or polyester. They will let you figure out what you want that is lighter and work if you are going to try winter.

Last I checked Paul at arrowheadequipment had his tarps on sale. I have a toxaway that he made and it's great quality with good coverage. Also, his turn around time is really fast. I made some DIY snakeskins for my tarp. I dont think it can get much easier to set up.

I ordered my toxaway last week and I can't wait. Do you have the pattern and info on your DIY snakeskins? I think I'd like to take a shot at that.

In my opinion, with somewhat limited experience, I think a square 10' x 10' tarp with lots of tieout points is the most versatile and easiest to pitch in a variety of configurations.

I agree with this. Lots of webbing tieouts.
