    New from Miami..

Hello all, just joined in hopes of gathering much needed info on hammocks ,tarps , snake skins etc.. I actually just ordered a ENO Doublenest recently for a family camping trip to just hang and relax. I also had ordered a Coleman Hooligan 4person before coming across this site for my wife, 3y/o daughters and myself.

I am in the military and have plenty of experience sleeping out in the woods , making shelters out of ponchos but need help with these tarp options.

Ill continue researching and looking at everyones setups. There is alot of information and too much confusement.

My biggest issues are these so called whoopie cords and ridgeslines, and snakeskins.. Hanging these things up ,setting the up...wow

Welcome from up I-95 in Palm Beach!
Hammocks and tarps are simple, but we like to jazz them up with our creative ideas.
You can go down that road only as far as you want to; but it will be a fun trip

Welcome to HF Monterop! I know the feeling. Give it time, it tends to fall into place! Checkout Shug's videos - they are the best source of info for a noob.

thanks for all the welcomes guys.. I have been checking out most of his videos the past couple days and they are helpful however they are not as in debt as I wanted. I have however run acroos lots of posts and getting the general idea.

I ordered a few things from a site I see alot of people have ordered from named wildernesslogic. Ordered some stakes, figure 9's and a set of tree huggers.

I am now very interested in making my own tarp as Ive seen alot of people doing on here. I have a fairly good idea on how to do it and will be looking around at fabric cost locally and online.
