    Had One

Had a stool of that type for years in the 1980's when I was in the Army. Fit right nice with a large ALICE pack. I was around 220 lbs then and it never broke - it just disappeared and was gone when I went to use it again.

Glad to see JRB was them and I'll get one with the tarp I'm going to order.

The key to a four leg stool is to take the extra time to try and get the four legs as level as you can. If you just set it down and sit one leg may be a little off and as you move around the stool will twist putting stain on the pegs and holes they go through.

    Cooking

I was thinking of cooking from the hammock on it. Do you think tin foil is enough insulation to keep the stove from melting the seat? Any ideas?

I got my 2 JRB camp stools on Friday. I am currently 6'2" 220LBS and it held to me just fine. I did not feel an wobbles or immanent breaking sensations. It felt totally secure and stable. Thanks!

    Thenate1,

Thanks for the comment on your size, weight and the stools apparent support and comfort.

Since this stool comes as an unrated item it is good to have some feedback relative to capacity.

I am Loving this stool. My hiking buddy borrowed my daughters and loves it. We used them last Saturday and Sunday while on the trails. It is now a part of my pack. It is also a great pack stabilizer. No issues with it at all!
