Bug nets are next on our agenda. Hope to have something soon. Things took off better than expected and doesn't leave much time for prototyping.
Big nets? You have my attention. Going to need one for the hammock I just got from you. Keep us updated and put me one the got to have one list.
Will do Jason. We just ordered several different materials an hour ago and hopefully work on them next week. Brian and I both have different ideas/preferences. I'm not big on the NoSeeUm, and like the plain mesh. Any preferences out there? Just cause I like it, doesn't mean that's what we'll end up with.
We've got multiple fabrics to do R&D with including the tulle, a military netting and a lightweight netting. Once we nail the design and decide on the right materials, we'll release it. Tacky, I like the tulle for light, but it's a bit brittle... if tncamper and I can satisfy our concerns that it will last and that our customers will like it, we'll go with it.
I've pretty much decided I want to get the WWM. I started my hammocking with the GT UL and it suited me just fine. When I switched to the slightly smaller GT Nano7, it's just not as comfortable...I seem to always get an ache in my right shoulder which I'm assuming is because it's shorter.
But reading about the bug net is really exciting. I can't wait to see what the weights are.
Any idea on the time frame?
While I'm typing this, I'm "watching" Mickey Mouse club house with my 4 yr old. She kept telling me to "Look Daddy". When I finally looked up, Donald had mud on his hammock. That's my girl!
Nice! Can't wait to see what you guys come up with. Will be needing a net myself come summer.
And if you call 60x120 perfect (and I do), I'd say as you shave width, you'll find more length makes for a more comfortable hang -- which is why 52x132 is such a great fit for me when I want to shave a little weight.
