    Stop the madness.

I need an awards program for diygearsupply. Every time I turn around I am placing an order, I swear I would hate to tally what I spend in shipping for a given period of time. Come on man order 5 times and get free shipping on the 6th or something

I am kidding, but I have got to become obsessed with something cheaper, like fitness I have a gym here at work I would be golden but I won't make time for the gym due to having diy projects at home to do. My wife wants to move out of the apartment for a house and I say, no way - cutting the lawn would cut into my diy time.

Seriously though, what projects does everyone have going on. I have a trip in April that I have to complete a new hammock with integrated bug net, a down UQ, a set of tarp skins, and a new hex tarp for. That is what I can think of off the top of my head. This doesn't include the food I need to cook and dehydrate for said trip. DOH!

Funny, I made a mention of this to Scott my second last order. something along the lines of a frequent buyers program!! I could simply by out his store for all the things I have either going on or floating around in my head. I've taken to doing projects for friends and family simply to keep the brain and hands moving with the DIY I enjoy it that much!

I have a system similar to what I use with Amazon and books. I like to read so when I hear about a book, I add it to my Amazon cart. When I've read all the books I have, I hit the checkout button. There's always enough in the cart for free shipping.

Since DIYGearSuppy doesn't have a saved cart, I keep a spreadsheet listing all the materials I would need for the projects floating about in my head. When I run out of current projects & materials, I use my spreadsheet to place an order with Scott. In so doing, I save on shipping costs. I've also learned to order more quantity than I think I need because I always come up with a use for it.

Bet you if you buy Scott's entire inventory, he'll cut you a break on shipping.

LOL, In all seriousness though Scott has great prices and very reasonable shipping. This was't a complaint aimed at him just me going on about my love of diy and distaste for my indecisiveness.

Well if you did buy a home, you could make sure you had properly spaced trees in your backyard to hang on anytime you liked, and a extra room for your DIY projects. Just pay someone to do the yard work for you while you're busy sewing.

Hmmm, sounds familiar. I think its 1 of the "side effects" of "hanging" around this forum.

Between working 7 day weeks, going to the gym and being a co-parent to the GF's kids I rarely have time to actually make anything. Small repairs & mods are the best I have time for. That's not to say I don't have plenty of ideas floating around up there. I keep a list of the ideas, materials, & design concepts ect. Maybe one day...
