Just decided that working with nacrabiners for connecting my whoopies to the tree straps was a PIA and ordered two biners today. Tarp is shock cord to carbon fiber toggles and the toggles to prussiks on the tarp tie out line. Also shock cord to toggles to the Zing-It tie down lines (4).

Right now, just straps & rope on hammock.... will soon be straps & rings.

Tarp I just use 2 S-biners with a prusik knot on each end of the ridge line.

....sorry, I can't really go there and no one wants me to either. I just like biners and the different sizes, and the different colors, and the different shapes, and the different purposes, and the......you get the picture. Been trying to replace some with soft shackles, but they're not near as fun.

2 Camp USA Nano biners, 2 sets descending rings for hammock. 1 non-climbing biner, 1 figure 9, for tarp ridgeline.
We are now ready to start our way down the Great Unknown. We are three quarters of a mile in the depth of the earth. We have an unknown distance yet to run, an unknow river yet to explore. What falls there are, we know not; what rocks beset the channel, we know not; what walls rise over the river, we know not. Ah, well! We may conjecture many things. The men talk as cheerfully as ever; jests are bandied about freely this morning; but to me the cheer is somber and the jests are ghastly. Powell 1869

Hammock = 2 Dutch biners, 2 Dutch clips
Tarp = Naked (I tie the ends, though I could definitely see Dutch tarp flyz in my future...)

Like others have said...dutchgear is the way to go.

Tarp, 3 Dutch hooks and 1 Dutch Stingerz all on Zing it

Hammock, 2 Dutch Biners and 2 toggles for the marlin spike hitch with a whoopie inbetween.

The whole setup is very light, adjustable, and I can have it up and set in under 3 mins.
