    Trampoline Hammock Stand

I am sure this has been tried many times before, but its a first for me. I was growing frustrated due to the lack of appropriate trees in my back yard and was thinking about what we could do for a back yard hang this weekend. I always break down my daughters trampoline at the end of the fall season and we store it till the spring. Since its time to bring it out we tried hanging her Hennessey Cub using the frame of the trampoline. Wow! I was surprised to see that it worked. It holds her 100lbs with no issues. I will have to work on an alternate plan for my "Mom" size frame... My daughter wanted to camp out tonight and I have to admit it is tempting. We will hold off for Friday and Saturday night and pray the weather is good.

I often find myself staring at my kid's trampoline; trying to figure out some way to make it work as a hammock stand/functioning trampoline. I think for the kids that's a great idea, but I'm pretty sure the pipes weren't designed for the kind of torsion load an adult in a hammock would apply. Plus my hammock is 12', so I'd have to come up with some super short suspension system.

Read the title and had a vision of the trampoline all set up with the hammock hanging and thinking if you fall out or suspension breaks....you bounce. Still a great concept. +1 on Mad777's comment.

    Well played mom.
