    Strongest tie out

I'm just finishing up my first DIY tarp, a 10X12 hex 30d sil. I have 1/2" rolled hems. I'd like to hear your thoughts on the strongest way to do the tie outs using grosgrain. I was thinking about running it 6" down the side then looping back over itself and up the next side 6".

I like that method myself. You also want to use a reinforcing patch of the same size at the corners and ridgelines.

Thanks MAD. I'll pick up some rip stop for the patch.

I did that on my DIY minimalist tarp... Seems to hold ok...

This might be of interest, though: http://www.hammockforums.net/forum/s...highlight=Tarp
