    Exped Ergo Hammock?

Has anyone ordered one yet? I admit to being somewhat fascinated. I really don't need one, but it looks pretty sweet.

I certainly haven't ordered one, but I too am curious to hear what the folks here on the forum have to say about them after getting some time in one.

I've read one report saying that it is too short.
Guy says he is 5'8'' and that he'll return it.

can you provide the link to that report ? I understood that these hammocks will only be available from end of march, so this might be a beta version of the final hammock.

Checking the website from Exped, they haven't indicated any PoS yet.

The hammock is indicated with 205 cm by 140 cm, supposed to be good until 180 cm (which is why I excluded it from my list)

This could still be the pre-production model like the one FourDog used in his videos. A few more conformations would be nice.

Looks expensive, bulky and "tangly" with all those cords sticking out. But I, too, am fascinated. Cool idea.

Less than 58 ounces...including suspension and stuff bag. But yes, too expensive for me.

I thought it was an interesting concept. It claims to be the first hammock that has an absolutely horizontal sleeping position, but to me it looks on par with a good bridge hammock for flatness. I think it could be made with a sheet of ripstop like a regular bunched end hammock. Perhaps cut the material to lay correctly and run some 3/8" 1500lbs polyester webbing like they use in the bridges around the perimeter for strength. Just thinking out loud.
