Hello, I recently picked up hammock camping after a buddy lent me his Hennessy. After sleeping in it for a night, I regret not investing in a hammock years ago.
As an avid camper, I have slept in tents on the jungle floor, and more than once, I awoke to find snakes (not poisonous, thank God) cuddling with me for warmth and dry. Those occasions put me off camping until I discovered that hammock camping CAN keep me relatively dry and off the jungle floor where all the crawlies are. Even with a flysheet, I find that I carry less weight when I trek.
One of my passions is finding hidden, unnamed waterfall. I look through google maps daily to find the tantalizing sliver of white in the green jungle, then after consulting with a few friend, I usually went solo or with a partner (not really a fan of crowds). So far, I discovered 2 waterfalls to my name.
I have purchased a ProForce Jungle Hammock very recently, but never get to test it under real jungle conditions. Well, as soon an I can get away for a weekend, I will test it, and maybe make a review. Anyone here with the same hammock that can tell me what I should expect?
Thank you, and its a pleasure to be among fellow friends.
