Just coming back to civilization after a 5-day hiking trip. Colorado Bend was beautiful (first time there) and Lost Maples is always my all time favorite Texas State Park.
Hanging was just awesome. I haven't woken up that rested and refreshed on the trail in a long time. First night was a bit tough psychologically getting use to feeling entirely weightless. I'd taken naps in my hammock during the day a few times, but with the darkness of the woods, basically no moonlight and a tarp over you; it was very much sensory deportation. Wound up pressing my feet against one side and resting my head on the other side so I could "feel" something. Once I did that I was able to nod off. The following nights were much easier. Again, just awesome sleeping.
Look forward to getting out very soon again I hope to learn some more!
