    Hey TwoTents!
I'd love to hike with you & Trasher after Fall MAHHA - really enjoyed the pre-hang hike into Spring MAHHA...
Like I said previously, it would only be Sunday night & Monday night with a 'short' hike ('out' ~noon Tuesday) to car, having to work graveyard Tuesday night - but we can work that out later (I'll have to start looking at the hiking 'options'!)...
If you & Trasher get a ride down with MML, I could drop you off at your vehicle in Osceola Mills or wherever you meet MML on my way back to State College, too - something for you to think about...
    In the meantime, take care!
    Happy trails!!!

I plan on a pre-hike, probably SOBO to Gathland since I did NOBO from Harper's Ferry for last year's fall MAHHA.

Hey SilvrSurfr (Hope all is working 'out' okay for ya! ),

Since I'm planning on a NOBO post-hang hike from Gathland, I'd be glad to shuttle you back to your vehicle Friday if you would then give me a ride back to Gathland from wherever I plan on getting off the trail late Tuesday morning (I have not planned it out as yet, however!)...

I'll keep an eye open for your (& others) plans on where you might be starting from for your sobo hike into Gathland...

Talk to you 'later'... Take care!
    Happy trails!!!

I'm good for about a week of trekking prior to Fall Mahha, so I would like to be about 6 days south of Gathland for a prehike heading North into Gathland. (or about 80 miles or so, South of Gathland to start).
This will of course be my last big Hike, cause the world ends December 21st, 2012

Im looking at starting that Monday morning minus travel time. Thought about starting somewhere around the north gate of SNP or something similar. Id love to set up a shuttle with someone.

I was sort of looking at making the hike a bit shorter ( not 80 miles) to make a shuttle easier and perhaps parking my ride at Gathland SP or someplace closeby, then a rental car or a shuttle to Front Royal Then hiking north to Fall Mahha. Whats that, about 60 miles? Is that reasonable?

Thats perfect for me. Its about 64 miles looks like. Id be willing to go in on this rental car/van if your ok with that. Ill look at the maps a little better tonight. Either way thats where I was hoping to get started.

Aw, c'mon MML & 2Tall - you're killing me here... All this talk of a week long hike before Fall MAHHA - and I don't have any more vacation days available! Guess I'll have to unsubscribe from this thread for a while so that you two don't throw me into depression! I'm envious!! See ya at MAHHA!
    Happy trails!!!

80 0r 64 it is good for me> I'd help with the shuttle/car rental too if we get that set up. Then I may hike out of MAHHA heading north too.
I like refried beans. That's why I wanna try fried beans, because maybe they're just as good and we're just wasting time. You don't have to fry them again after all.
