Good morrow to all, from Great Britain

Yes I do have bad teeth and a funny accent but I still love sleeping in my hammock!

I got a hammock a few years ago and have spent several nights in the Cornish woodland with it. Been on a bit of a dry spell recently, lacking anyone to go with and not particularly enjoying solo trips. However with summer coming I've roped in a few friends and got myself a DD Frontline Hammock (the old one split whilst I was in it), ready to hit the Forest of Dean next week and hang from as many trees as I can this summer!

It's always interesting to read how other people are hanging and tarping so I look forward to sponging all of your info and maybe even contributing something useful myself (I'll let you lot be the judge of that though).

A little bit about me, I'm a 21 year old student, studying Mechanical Engineering at UWE, Bristol. I'm also part of the Officer Training Corps and hope to go on to join the Army on completetion of my degree in 2012.

Welcome! We don't or at least not me, care whatcha look like. I got funny hair, I can't sing, I ain't pretty and my legs are thin, but man I loves me some bacon! Welcome!
I like refried beans. That's why I wanna try fried beans, because maybe they're just as good and we're just wasting time. You don't have to fry them again after all.

welcome to HammockForums and hey from high point nc.
there is a ton of stuff here to read, learn and ask about.
if it's hammock related it's here or still waiting to be invented.
as an engineer, maybe you can do some inventing.
    hang on and have fun.

home is where your hammock is.

    Thanks all for the welcome!

Yeah I have read the books but that's not where my name came from, that's a long and ultimately boring story.

Already been picking some stuff up, been making plans for a DIY hammock stand already. I've got a few days next week in the woods, going to get some pictures and share my setup with everyone.
