My HH really roughed up the shoulder on one of my polyester shirts & it isn't leg friendly.
My knife is so sharp it cut the sixth finger off my right hand! On the plus side, Inigo Montoya no longer hunts me.

I have used a HH for years and never experienced my clothing getting caught or snagged. Mine is about 5 yrs old and maybe they used weaker velcro. Hair caught in velcro sounds painful

Forgot an important flaw. when not hung with the ridgline tensioned, if the mesh bag is near the entrance end, it can get caught by the velcro and eventually wear out.

I’ve got a couple of poly shirts that used to get snagged all the time until I changed the way I get in. When initially getting in, I face the hook side of the Velcro holding it away from my shirt as I stand up inside. The opposite loop side of the Velcro slides easily down my back. When the opening is past the bottom of my shirt I turn to face the foot end of the HH and climb in as normal.

This was a minor issue being far outweighed by the benefits of the bottom entry.

I'll have to try to remember to follow your advice when wearing my wind shirt.
    Thanks
