.....I made my first trip to Amsterdam on April 27th, 1967. As fascinating as the city was, I didn't understand the outrageous partying going on literally all afternoon, evening, and through the night all over the city. The next day I discovered that Willem-Alexander, the Crown Prince had been born. I made many trips back after that, but found it seemed quite tame compared to that first visit.....
