That's why it was sitting in my garage for all those years!

It's a great pack, I had just seen the light about ultralight in 2005. It was originally purchased at Mt. Rodgers Outfitters in Damascus, VA. That pack has walked many miles on the AT in VA, so it has good karma. I was glad to PIF to Rev in his time of need and hope that it's next PIF owner will get some enjoyment out of it as well.

ok guys, work called me in tomorrow so im going to cut this a touch short since i think ive gotten all the replies im going to get.

so, i am going to announce the winner as it were.

    hrairoorah!!!!

heres the gist as to the letter:

I am disabled due to failed back surgery in 2004. I have permanent nerve damage and my left leg is numb. I also have diabetes. I need to exercise to help the diabetes but the leg prevents me from doing a lot.
I can backpack, but I can't walk too far with the pack I have. I could really use a better pack. One of the biggest problems I have is that I am on a fixed income and I cannot afford a good pack. I just bought a WBBB, after saving since last year.
It would take another year or so to save up enough for a good pack.
I don't care about having the latest or greatest gear, I just want something that works well and will give me good service.

my reasons are simple, and my own and i choose based on whom i thought could put the pack best to use. thank you to all the peeps who PM'ed me, and thank you for also understanding.

and thank you to sweeper for helping me get back onto my hiking feet when it was needed.

Whether trail or paddle don't you know
My hammock is the way to go
There peace and solitude I find
To ease all troubles from my mind
Both body and soul revel in delight
