What you are looking for is single braided hollow core rope made from dyneema. This site should help anyone trying to figure out who makes a local product:

If you can only find climbing rope a static rope has no stretch and also a significant price decrease. Just make sure it doesn't have a nylon core - that would be a mislabeled dynamic rope.

dacron is what most boat supply places will carry, usually called "running rigging" and will be fine in the interim

The Amsteel Blue I have, I got at a boating shop. It's Dyneema SK-75 in a single braid. If a shop in central California, where we have very little water, carries it, I sure hope someplace in coastal Norway would

I believe what I have is 7/64" ~ 3mm, and they did have to order it from their warehouse though.

I've made whoopies with FSE Robline Ocean 3000 3mm. The adjustable ridge line of my BB is made out of the 2mm. It's SK-75 12 braid hollow core dyneema. It seems to be far more available in this side of the pond than amsteel blue.

Then again, amsteel from arrowhead equipment is one possible option. I've bought it from there a few times and it's worked out cheaper than Ocean 3000 or amsteel bought from a UK site.
