Superior Hiking Trail 2 night Trip Suggestions

    Hey Superior Hiking Trail Veterans!

Can anyone suggest a 2 night backpacking trip for a rookie? I am trying to plan an early summer trip with a few friends. I see there is a shuttle service, or could do an out and back as well. I do not mind doing some miles each day, but we are more interested in seeing some nice scenery and enjoying our time at camp and trying out new gear. Maybe 5-7 miles bettween campsites.... Just do not know where to even start.
    thanks,

So many choices up there! Maybe peruse the SHT Trail map sections....http://www.shta.org/Trail/TrailMaps/...e9d4ef39146ee2
I like out and backs for short trips.....no shuttle pressure!

First off, If you haven't yet, get the SHT guide book. It is excellent. For a 2 nighter, I would recommend a couple of the loops. The bean and bear lake loop is beautiful. Not alot of miles, like 4 each way but lots of ups and downs. Stay over night at the bear lake campsite. You can get back to the car in time to do the cascade river loop, about 5 miles in to the north cascade river campsite, come back on the west side of the river. Lots of ups and downs so it feels a lot farther. The Split Rock loop is another good one.
