    Video: First Solo

Here is the video from my solo last week. It was a great time. Thanks to all of the comments and suggestions from the HF members.

    Enjoy.

Great trip for your first solo. Lucky to see that heard of deer.

Thanks for posting and hope you have many more trips.

I enjoyed that. I recognized scenes from some of your early shots, it brought back some great memories. Almost three years ago Dutch (the world's greatest hiker, and easy on the eyes) and I left our cars at the Old Rag Mountain trailhead (you walked 0.9 miles up from your car to reach it), and set off on a hiking adventure that culminated in a run up to Old Rag.

    thanks for posting

Good outing, good video and trip report! Nice area! Glad you finally got to get out alone with the planet. It is (my term) "spiritual Sani-flush"!

Badchef, thanks for taking us along. I understand the desire to get back to the wife. I feel that way every time I head out into the woods. Don't put yourself down. I used to say that I married up, but I was unsure about my wife feeling the same way. She does and I'm sure your wife does, especially after those warm socks.

I do have a recommendation about the video. Sometimes I couldn't hear what you were saying because of the music. I did like the song choices, but it was too loud compared to hearing you.

Thanks for the input and the recommendations. Part of the challenge was to figure out how loud to talk by myself.

I had the same issue my first time out by myself, except I spoke too loud. I'm sure your next video will be even better and I'm looking forward to watching it.
