Fastest suspension

check out my latest video I have posted .. I use Dutch's clips with the whoopies through the eye sewn shut .. no toggles.. no breaks in the suspension .. used it 16 days in a row .. other then a hammock I have thats's nothing but straps through the gathered end in which I tie a bowline .. the former is still the faster .. unless I tie the bowline in the right spot times 2 ..

I found it under your profile. the name just through me off at first. that is what I am after something faster and simple. I will find me some Dutch clips and whoopie slings. thank everyone for there help

6' whoopies on hammock, AHE 6' tree slings, and whoopie's Nano 23 Biner. Everything light weight and simple, and quick.

And for larger trees, I carry couple of 4' pieces of amsteel with a locked brummel loop on each end for extensions around the heftier trees.

For my HH, I have whoopies attached to tree huggers with nacrobiners, with a Dutch clip at the end. It takes more time to deal with the snakeskins than it does to get the hammock hung. Takedown is just loosen one whoopie and unhook the Dutch clips - just a few seconds. And it's all one piece, so nothing to lose.

I'll be moving this system over to my new Blackbird, but haven't done it yet. The strap suspension that came with the BB is a real PITA compared to what's on my HH.

For me, the strap suspension on my Blackbird is easier and quicker to use than whoopie slings. Now that should confuse the noobs out there.

As using a tarp is a good idea about 95% of the time, I consider "set-up" to mean setting up tarp and hammock. That's one reason I often use a true structural ridgeline for my tarp. It adjusts quickly with whoopie slings on each end attached to tree straps that use Dutch clips. Then the hammock attaches to the ridgeline, with no adjustment needed.

Have played with various forms of suspension and for me nothing is faster than a webbing suspension with a biner or Dutch Clip at the end. Just wrap the end of the webbing around the tree and and clip to itself. Then adjust length at the cinch buckles (or descender rings).

Weight and space are a different issue.

Cinch buckles and Dutch Clip gets my vote. Someone should make ti cinch buckles.
