All good advise and I appreciate it and yes gmcttr you are right on how I had planned to do it, which may change before days end.
When I made the ARL's I attached them with the at the length that from what I read should be right (83% of the hammock length) with about 6 inches of adjustment +- from the 83% mark.
I wonder if I shouldn't just go with the 83% rule and be done with it???????

All my morning aches and pains went away when I discovered hammock camping!
As long as you have them made, I would put them to use. It's nice to try a few different lengths to be sure you get the most comfort the hammock can provide.
For the "experimenting" phase, I usually just loop the ridgeline ends over the whoopies instead of through the hammock gathered end first. Quick and dirty and easier to adjust.
