DivaB. The weather that weekend was rain/snow. The full length fleece hammock was used as an under quilt, this time. Matt hasn't made an under quilt yet so I lent him my full fleece hammock to use as an under quilt under his DIY gathered end hammock. I was using my new DD that weekend to try it out.

We plan on using the dome when car camping so weight is not an issue. The fleece hammock is a little heavy and bulky, but very comfy and warm.

The micro fleece is a thin fleece, just like the fleece lining used in jackets. The fleece doesn't compress much so stays warm. It works best as a spring/fall hammock and add an under quilt in winter. In summer the fleece is too warm so we flip it over and sleep in the nylon with the fleece on the outside.

We only had 2 commercial hammocks used that weekend. The other 6 hammocks were DIYs. The Venturer Scouts are still learning and making their own gear, including the dome.
