    Hello from Tucson

Hi there. I just signed up

I've been reading the forums off and on for a week or so. I have been curious about this hammock business for some time, and recently got a copy of the book,
the Ultimate Hang. I plan to put an order in today or tomorrow for some DIY materials and give this a try. Based on recommendations I am tempted to buy a Warbonnet
(maybe the hyperlight model), but figure I should be sure this is really gonna work for me before spending real money.

I am 6 foot 1 inch and the Hennesy hammocks say they will fit a person only up to 6 feet, so I guess they are no go for a tall guy like me.
I am tempted to go with 1.1 ripstop rather than 1.9 to save weight, but I should head over to the DIY forum and ask some questions there.
I am an ultralight backpacker, so I do want to cut the ounces.

See, I am full of questions -- thanks for listening - and thanks for all the info in these forums!!

    Tom

Well, drop me a line at [email protected] when you do, I didn't think of
In-N-Outs as so special, but we could get together there, or someplace
else (there are good places for Mexican food).
