I'ld take that as a sign to get the dutch biners anyway. I have some WB biners but honestly since using the dutch clips I haven't used them for hammock suspension(but have used for other things just not hanging the hammock) since.

Sorry to hear about the foiled expectations. I agree that the local REI would probably save you some coin, and you'd likely end up with better 'biners. I recommend the camp nano 23s.
To many others point. I appreciated the fact that I wasn't expected to pay for 'biners that I never intended to use when I bought my Warbonnet. I have a plethora on hand from years of outdoorsmanship, and I wanted to get dutch clips anyways.
I haven't had a good look at the WB website, but maybe some bold is in order to better manage user expectations.
Cheers, and enjoy the hang.

Nice update on the first post.
There is a blue ridge mountain store in Charlottesville. They have similar stuff. Could go there, pickup the items you need, and then make camp in the blue ridge on the way back.
If you post on advrider.com that you need a couple of carabiners and you'd buy breakfast or lunch at the Country Cafe (Hwy 220 S 6156 Sam Snead Hwy, Hot Springs, VA), I'm sure you'll get those carabiners quick!! Seriously, if you need carabiners, rings, triglides, elephant trunks, etc. etc., probably all you have to do is ask for help and I am sure someone on this site will bend over backwards giving assistance.
Most importantly: Congrats on the purchase of the WBBB!! As I am sure you've read, once you get it hanging, WhoopieSlings' adjustable ridgeline and DutchWare's hooks, biners, clips are great resources to dial it in. And almost no waiting, I sometimes think they are putting my stuff in the mail before I am finished typing the order.
Best regards.

You could always use a big stick....
Nice simple solution, but I think I would try to incorporate a MSH into that setup though. Man that would suck if the stick slipped out.
You could either just MSH the stick and put the loop over it or actually tie the loop into the MSH by forming the loop in the tail and putting the end loop inside it when folding it up. (May see if I can add a picture or two later to be more clear.)
