    Shock cord guy line

I know that these have been done before, but I was so pleased with the results, I just wanted to show it. I saw in Shug's video series that his guylines have a series of loops, but thought a single prusik knot would be more effective as far as adjustments go. This was made with braided mason's line.

Nice work. That is very close to the system that I use.

I like that system - nicely done. For myself I use loops of shockcord.

Just got back from an overnight and a good test of the shock cord guy lines. Putting the prusik knot through the tarp grommet hole and then putting a stick through the loop worked great. Staking down the shock cord end worked well. In the morning, I could see the slack given by the tarp, but the shock cord had done its job well.

    Thanks to all.
