Got out today to enjoy the beautiful spring weather. We're well ahead of most years in terms of blooms and plants leafing out. I wanted to see some wildflowers and get out for what will be my only day off in the next couple of weeks. So I took a day hike up in the Laurel-Snow State Natural Area near Dayton, TN. It's a great hike along a beautiful river, and then you climb the Cumberland Plateau for some spectacular views overlooking the Tennessee River Valley. I found a nice overlook at which to hang, eat lunch and just relax. Had to adjust my suspension to make it work between some closely spaced trees, but this was just the place that it had to be today. I ended up taking off my soft shackles and bypassing the continuous loop and larksheading the whoopies directly to the hammock; it was tight, but made it work. I'm going to try to post some pics (this is new for me, so we'll see how it goes). Hope it works and hope you enjoy.
