Are there hand maps there
You dont really need a map for the MRT/NCT loop. The trails are well blazed for both sides. There used to be a place to find the USFS map online but that is gone. The next best places are.....http://www.getoffthecouch.info/manistee/mannct.htm
Or the Ranger Station in Baldwin has a set of maps for the NCT. Also the NCTA puts out a very nice map for the loop.
Wish I was going with you guys this weekend, but in a way I'm still on Isle Royale. Have a blast!
I am highly improbable to make this trip now, due to my work schedule being controlled by our friends across the St. Clair River. If at all possible, I will try to make it Saturday, but even that is a long shot. If I didn't like to buy nice gear, I wouldn't need a job right? So if I don't make it, everyone have a safe one.

I would recommend paying the $5/day fee at the Marilla trailhead (north), Upper River Road trailhead (south) or the campground to the north. When I was there back in April a USFS pickup truck was at the two lots near the bridge with some hikers and looked like they were getting into it pretty good. I'm guessing it had to do with trying to avoid the fee.
It's not a huge fee, but if everyone followed the rules it would probably still be $3/day. On the other hand, if they posted it more clearly about that being exclusively for boaters I'm sure it would cause less trouble.
So tenative agenda for those arriving later than Friday....
FRIDAY NIGHT CAMP
Seaton Creek CG/TH located off M-37 just south on Mesick
SATURDAY NIGHT CAMP
Cedar Creek Ravine, not stayed here but next stream past Slagle Creek is Cedar Creek, was thinking heading down stream a bit off trail until a nice spot can be found, or could go to Arquill Creek, which is after Cedar Creek.... Just trying to make sure Sunday is not a 8+ mile day to Eddington Creek...
SUNDAY NIGHT CAMP
NCT Eddington Creek Area, either on bluff by power line, or in pines at bottom of bluff by creek or in pines on otherside of creek. All within ear shot of each other...
Sounds like a plan to me. I'll be heading up to Seaton creek campground Thrusday afternoon boys. See u all on Friday and or sat.
I'll be pulling in to camp Friday noonish... WOOT!!!!!!!!!!
Cool I am shooting for Thursday night in Ludington and Friday Morning at Seaton.
I live in lud I get out of wrk at 230 pm so I'll be headed up shortly after that. My lilting brother just got his first hammock think this trail would be tough for someone who has never hiked it would be his first hang he has done some tent camping before at nordhouse dunes. Also is it possible to do this loop in two days I might have to leave Sunday?
