Hello, My name is ___ and I have a hammock problem...

Last night I bought another hammock. I couldn't help myself. I knew I didn't NEED another hammock. I'm not sure that I can USE another hammock. But there it was, the Weight Weenie Micro. It was just sitting there on the internet and it was on SALE.

I tried to ignore it, really I did, but it was like it was calling to me. I've been there before, that's why I have 3 tents, 6 tarps, 3 sleeping bags, 3 backpacks and 2 other hammocks. Leaving the Forum didn't help, checking my email, my FaceBook account, I even tried actually doing some work...

But it was so easy.... a click here, a click there, enter my PayPal password and "dink" a new email message and my "payment has been received".

This addiction is insidious, I never buy gear when anyone else is around. I never have new gear sent to the house. I know I have a problem but I just lose control... My gear closet is full... I can't stop thinking about the next new shiny piece of equipment... is that a hammock sock I hear?

My kids are grown and moved out of the house so I have taken a bedroom as my man-cave. I have my thread injector set up there (don't see those in every man-cave).

The closet that covers one entire wall is my gear closet. It used to house my supplies for making my DIY projects also. However, there is no room for that anymore so my DIY materials are stored in a closet in another bedroom.

Oh, and since I don't have room in the original closet for anymore quilts, my newest quilts are also housed in the closet in the second bedroom.

But, I am not concerned about running out of space anytime soon. You see, I had six children, so I now have a six bedroom house occupied by only my wife & me.

Will someone please cut up my credit card and delete my PayPal account!!!

I like my addiction. I remember once upon a time when all my extra stuff would fit in a single dresser drawer and one big storage tub and take up a tiny spot on the closet rod. Hah! Them days is long gone. I too have my own gear room with shelves and special hanging rods. Rows of shelving with a wall of stacked storage tubs. Hooks to hang packs and two sorting tables that are always full with some sort of hiking/backpacking gear-transition limbo! Gotta go - I'm busy making the small (extra) bedroom into a food storage, dehydrator, seal a meal area/ food packing room!
I like refried beans. That's why I wanna try fried beans, because maybe they're just as good and we're just wasting time. You don't have to fry them again after all.

Add my name to that list, because my addiction is out of control. I am trying to save for a DangerBird, and will soon be downsizing to finance it. See you in the for sale thread, selling and probably buying. LOL...
