New to the thread been reading DIY for awhile some great info. Started hanging at Ft. stewart in the 90's, but at the time all I used was the net hammock which tended to catch on all my gear (I was the fish caught in my own net. Last year while checking craigslist, saw an add for an ENO doublenest and was stunned. Did not know there where hammocks that weren't fishnets. been hooked ever since ( still trying unsuccessfully to get the wife to let me hang it in the bedroom. as the title says all of my current gear is piecemealed thanks to the great people posting the DIY. I use a poncho liner with a modified shock cord edge, the $30 dollar ENO from the trunk of a car ( still nervous about that one) got a ENO bugnet from an army surplus store for $10 use a used military issue overquilt sans the zipper and made my suspension from a set of ratchet straps I got at the flea market and my toggles are actual aluminum arrow shaft thanks to a sale a wallyworld for a dollar, my tarp is two military issue poncho's i've aquired over the years. so once again thank you for sharing a wealth of knowledge because getting money from my wife aka the boss requires 2 forms of i.d. a valid business plan and a cost summary. haha
