    New hanger from Middle Tn

Hello everyone, I live just outside of Nashville. I am brand new to hammock camping. I am not even a hammock camper, I am in the pre-planning phase. I recently bought an Equip Wal-Mart brand hammock to try out on the trail and might phase out my tent gear as I upgrade. I aspire to own a Warbonnet Blackbird Double layer.

    Current equipment:

    Blue Equip Hammock
Cheap 5x7 blue tarp (replacing with Noah's Tarp 12)
    No frills

I look forward to learning from you all, I have learned a lot jut lurking so far and plan to add some noseeum netting to my hammock soon.

Nice to meet you all. Glad to see there are others nearby to share interests with. Flight Chick, what's the story behind your handle? If anyone wants to suggest some nearby places to do lengthy 2 day hikes, I'm all ears!

Flight has to do with my job and Chick is my gender. We just did the Virgin Falls this past weekend. If you have not been there, it's worth it! I also want to check out the Walls of Jericho down in Franklin County. They say its very nice.
