    Imperfect tree spacing preference

If you had your choice of hanging between tree A and B which are about four paces apart or between trees C and D which are more like two and a half paces apart - all else being equal, which would you choose?

A & B, but as long as my tarp fit between C & D then I might choose them, the tarp thing would be the decider for me.
    Good luck,

Most important that the tarp fits,,then yu know for sure the hammock will as well,,,I would go for A and B,,just to give me a dash of room also.

On my very first camping trip in a hammock, I meticulously hung my hammock first and then stepped back to admire my handi-work. Next, I got out my tarp and realized that it didn't fit between the trees

Now, I always hang the tarp first!

I almost always do tarp first mostly because it's a good habit for when the weather isn't cooperating but its also good to do just so I know the tarp will fit before I set up my hammock.

I'm taking A&B, I find that I get a better hang with my WBBB at greater distances between trees for some reason.

Well if you are talking about a standard 5 ft. pace, I find 12.5 feet just a little tight for hammock, whoopies, and huggers. So I would need to go with the A-B option (20 feet).

When I pace, I usually am closer to 6 feet. 15 feet is the perfect distance I look for, so that would be C-D.

How's that for taking a firm stance?
