That's something I intend to explore on my next trip out!

I don't have the poles in yet, but I asked them to put pole pockets on the sides as well, so that would help further with holding it up in 'porch mode' as well as pushing out the sides and giving more room inside with the sides down. I'll post up some more pics of it in porch mode and with the poles in place when I get them.

I typically camp with my 3 adult sons, and possibly with my wife as well in the future, and frankly I think all of us could sit under this thing on chairs/pads with the sides down and doors staked out. Lots of room!

The velcro on the doors was very well done too. That will stop pretty much everything when it comes to winds/rain/snow...should help quite a bit with staying warm in the winter too.

Now I just gotta get momma a rig like mine, and we'll be set. She won't be out in weather as extreme as the boys and I will put up with, but it'd be nice to have her set for it just in case.

Looking forward to testing it out. Only issue with it is of course weight...but I'm not much of a gram weenie. Compared to how much weight I've already shed out of my kit, this is a nice addition to make it a good four season setup with the same gear year round.

WOW--I am glad I stumbled across this while looking for 'ridgeline organizers'! I will be ordering some stuff from 2QZQ very soon--what a great bunch of goodies they have! Thanks for the testimonial.

Like the concept. I made that mod to my WL Big Daddy tarp a couple of weeks ago, but put on half length doors to start with. Can always add more to the bottom if I want to. The velcro does close the doors tightly.

An awesome mod. Bomb proof indeed! You should be able to handle whatever nature throws at you.

I'd completely missed that folks had responded to this recently...thanks all for your thoughts!

I actually "used" the doors for the first time during last month's KC area hang, when we had mist and windy conditions coming in. Setting up at the trailhead made tree selection a little more problematical, and I ended up setting up with the wind blowing right into the foot side of my hammock/tarp.

No worries when you got doors! I just pulled those out, staked them down and closed up the velcro...dry and warm.

I still need to get poles done for the pole pockets/sides. The work 2QZQ did is outstanding, and this setup works GREAT for me.

I have seen some of their work in person and it is top notch! Wish I need a mod
