Can someone direct me to a place to by no see um netting?

    Hey everyone,

I am carrying my kids to AK this summer and I was hoping to find a source for some no see um netting that I could put on the windows of our vehicle to keep the bugs out while camping. My plan is to fasten the netting to the doors with magnets. I am only probably needing a 3'x6' piece of netting. Any info would be appreciated!!!!!

Most any fabric store (national chains include JoAnn's and Hancock's) will have a variety of choices for your project. Many have actual "no-see-um". But you can choose any ultra-sheer fabric or netting that will suit your needs: polyester organza is my favorite and is very easy to find. It's a sheer fabric--black is the easiest to see through. Tulle is also easy to find, but it's not very strong and its holes may be too big for your needs.

So, head down to the fabric store and ask for what you're looking for. Hold up the fabric to the light to see how well you can see through it. Buy it by the linear yard, most are 45 - 60 inches wide. Good luck! Let us know what you decide.

+1 on the organza. It's cheap. Buy something dark and you can see through it....

You may not need but a small piece, but I bet you need for it to stand up to what it has to in order for it to do its job. No see um, in polyester is pretty strong, perhaps a bit more accident resistant than some alternatives

Wildernesslogics.com also sells it. I usually snag some when I'm buying down.
